Uncharted 2 Dated
The PlayStation Portugal site (google translated) has revealed that Uncharted 2: Among Theives may possibly be set for release this September. Now, was this intentional? Possibly, but with the lack of a press release regarding the release date and the sudden appearance of a release date, we have to wonder. Look for this one in, well, September. Just don't bet your hidden treasures on it.

[Update]
The release date has also appeared on the European PlayStation site. Could this be more fact that fiction? We certainly hope so.

TEKKEN 6 Not Coming To PS3! But Bloodline Rebellion Is!
Namco Bandai held a special press conference yesterday (just a few days before Tokyo Game Show), where they went over new and upcoming titles and other special announcements. One of the announcements was that Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion will be heading to the PLAYSTATION 3 (no word when) and will have MORE content than the arcade version (big surprise!)… IGN was at the event and mentioned in their latest podcast that the PS3 will NOT be getting the regular version of Tekken 6, which was released late 2007 in arcades. More news as we get it!

Game Informer: Assassin's Creed II
Well, what do you know. After the cliffhanger ending of the first game, Assassin’s Creed is back for more. “A New Hero for a New Time,” eh? What could that possibly mean? Just judging from the cover art, this isn’t the same Altair that we’re used to. At the very least, he’s picked up some spiffy new threads, right? Nope. In Assassin’s Creed 2, players take on the role of Ezio, a young noble whose family was lost through rival ruling families' betrayals. In addition to the new character, players are going to get to explore a new setting: Renaissance-era Venice. What else is going on? Well, you’re going to have to pick up the May issue of Game Informer if you want the complete story on Ubisoft’s latest. You’ll also get new information on Sony’s MAG, which promises 256-player multiplayer action, as well as an exclusive in-depth look at Nintendo’s upcoming Punch-Out!! update.

Ecstasy pills found in X-Box game
Four ecstasy pills have been found inside a computer game bought at a High Street store.
Richard Thornhill, 34, found the drugs under the front cover of X-Box game Grand Theft Auto IV, which he bought from Gamestation in Cheltenham.
Mr Thornhill said: "What made me feel the most distraught was the fact we let our 12-year-old play the game."
A spokesman for Gamestation said the company has launched an investigation and was assisting a police inquiry.
But the Thornhills claim Gamestation's initial response was to tell them to "flush the drugs down the toilet".
Mr Thornhill said he bought a second hand, or pre-owned, copy of the 18-certificate game before making the discovery last Sunday.
'Felt sick'
He said: "I was going to put it away and I felt a lump on the front cover.
"Inside the instruction booklet was a ball of Shrinkwrap, or Clingfilm. I thought it was just a ball of clingfilm, but then I realised there were tablets inside. I instantly felt sick.
"They had Mitsubishi signs on them, which I recalled meant they were ecstasy pills. I wasn't 100% sure though, so I checked online and sure enough I was right - it was ecstasy."
His wife, Lesley, contacted Gamestation's area manager whom she claimed invited her to hand the drugs over to the company so they could destroy them.
But the couple contacted Gloucestershire Police and officers collected the pills.
A Gamestation spokesman said: "We have rigorous procedures for accepting pre-owned titles and checking them before they are put back on sale.
"We have launched an investigation and will work closely with Cheltenham police to find out what happened."

Home to gain three new spaces per month
In a talk at the Game Developers Conference today, Jack Buser, director of PlayStation Home in the US, revealed that the social network will be launching three promotional spaces a month from here on in.
"You'll see about three new spaces launched a month - I'll be shocked if we ever go under that number, we have so much in the pipeline," Buser said.
He mentioned that a recent "good space" had a quarter of a million visits a week in the US, with 75 per cent of visitors spending more than 10 minutes there - something that far exceeds consumer's usual involvement with advertising, he argued.
Space devlopment takes four to six months, and Sony has new technology that can't be seen in any space currently in Home, Buser said.
Buser's talk, "Developer opportunities in PlayStation Home", amounted to a sales pitch aimed at developers and publishers.
"Online games consoles have had the concept of the friends list for some time," he said, splitting online friends into two groups - those you meet online, and those you know in real life.
"We noticed at Sony a problem with the friends list with the first group - you don't really know them. We wanted a place, a neutral environment, where players could go and really get to know each other outside of the context of a particular game," said Buser.
"If you look at some of our competition, they really struggle with the idea community, how to foster a community on their platform. Home is the true community for PlayStation 3," Buser said.
To back it up, he revealed some figures: Home has crossed the 5 million user mark worldwide, of which North America accounts for 2.2 million. Average session duration is around 40 minutes. He declined to publicly state unique users per month or week, or concurrent users, however.
He strongly encouraged developers to consider supporting Home game launching, which he said he expected to take off as quickly, and become as essential to gamers, as Trophy support. "Going forward, it's going to seem like something's missing if you don't have it. I can't stress how important game launching is." Support for this feature is, currently, very limited.
He also talked about the brisk trade in virtual items in Home, and asked marketeers to consider them as a way to advertise and make money while they do it.
Free items were possible, Buser said, but "we always encourage people to do paid items. Why not make the money?" Buser asked.
"What else can you buy for 49 cents? You can't even get a cup of coffee. It's great value for the gamers."
“Backstage with Guitar Hero” Launches Tomorrow in PlayStation Home US
The time has come for all of you virtual rock stars to get your butts into PlayStation Home and show off your sickest riffs and slickest licks. That’s right - on Thursday, March 26th, Activision is launching their first PlayStation Home space to support their hit franchise - Guitar Hero. And you’re invited to the launch party!
The event will take place in the “Backstage with Guitar Hero” space where players will be able to rock out on their PLAYSTATION 3 controllers to a lightning-fast finger rock-style interactive mini-game. In this mind-boggling party game of music, memory, and reflexes, players are challenged to follow the lead of a guitarist by matching an ever-increasing color and sound pattern. With each turn a new note is added to the tune, and when a player misses a note they are knocked out of the game until only one player is left standing. A local leaderboard captures the highest scores in real time so the true champion gets their due props and the losers are left to practice their chops in shame.
On Friday, March 27th, between the hours of 12:00pm and 5:00pm PT (3:00pm and 8:00pm EST) the PlayStation Home Community Management team will be visiting the new Guitar Hero game space each hour on the hour and awarding the user with the current high score a special prize. So come out and show us your godly guitar skills. Who knows – you might just emerge the new virtual rock star of PlayStation Home…

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will arrive this holiday season
Activision CFO Thomas Tippl has revealed that Infinity Ward's upcoming sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will arrive this holiday season and in his opinion is "looking incredible."
Tippl went on to say that Activision's strategy for "leap-frogging development" between two developers has been paying out with back-to-back blockbusters for the company.
More from Tippl at the Wedbush Morgan Securities annual meeting:
"Last year we had probably beaten most expert expectations by growing the Call of Duty franchise over the tremendous success that was the first iteration of Modern Warfare," he said. "For 2009, Modern Warfare is coming back, we expect it will be the most anticipated game of the year. Perhaps the number one game of the year despite the fact that it's only going to launch in the holiday season...There is no doubt in my mind that it will again raise the bar for the shooter genre. The game is looking incredible and Infinity Ward, the studio that is developing it, is just doing an unbelievable job."

First Image of BioShock 2's Big Sister
Game Informer's April cover confirms what Kotaku readers already knew: Big Sister will greet gamers when they land in BioShock 2's Rapture later this year.
The cover shows off the new creature, which we described as an amazonian version of the Big Daddy, wearing similar, though svelter, gear. The image depicts a Little Sister riding on the back of the Big Sister in a sort of papoose cage.
The story behind the Big Sister and what sort of role they or it will play in the upcoming game will likely be revealed both at this month's Game Developers Conference and perhaps in the latest Game Informer which promises 10 pages of coverage.

RUMOR: GTAIV Episodic Content Coming to PlayStation 3
Coming hot off the heels of industry analyst Michael Patcher citing he believes the Lost and Damned DLC will sell 2 million on Xbox 360 and the next full GTA title will come out next year, PlayStation Insider has received an anonymous tip.
The tipster cites Microsoft and Take-Two Interactive’s (parent company of GTA developer Rockstar) original press release about the episodic content claiming, it was carefully worded PR hyperbole, only confirming the episodic content would only be a downloadable exclusive, mentioning nothing of future retail releases.
The game will likely be released mid-year 2010 in the storm of hype Take-Two will be producing for it’s next full release Grand Theft Auto title. It will come with at least the Lost and Damned episode available on Xbox Live right now, as well as the next episode, and will retail on a disc for around $40 on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The source also believes the second episode will be released on Xbox Live later this year, and we also have a very strong hunch we will see some more of the next episode by this summer.
While we have no other details, we will report them as soon as we have official information. Rockstar has yet to respond to request for information on the matter.
